Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of domestic and cross-border payment workflows, including initiation, validation, routing, settlement, reconciliation, returns, rejects, and exception handling.
- Validate SWIFT MT/MX and ISO 20022 message formats, mappings, transformations, and business rules.
- Test FX and foreign-currency payment workflows, including exchange rates, conversions, fees, value dates, and settlement.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, exploratory, API, backend, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, test data, automated regression suites, and testing utilities.
- Design and maintain automated tests for APIs, user interfaces, and backend services using applicable automation frameworks.
- Use AI-assisted testing tools and agentic automation for test generation, maintenance, failure analysis, defect triage, workflow validation, and adaptive automation.
- Perform REST API testing, SQL/database validation, and backend service testing.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, including AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
- Use AWS services including S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch for testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Investigate defects across payment messages, APIs, logs, and databases and collaborate through resolution.
- Comply with Marex, MAS, operational risk, Code of Conduct, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of QA/testing experience across manual and automated testing.
- Strong payments domain experience, particularly cross-border or international and FX payments, including knowledge of the end-to-end payment lifecycle, SWIFT MT/MX, and ISO 20022 messaging.
- Strong REST API testing, SQL, and backend validation skills.
- Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing, AI coding assistants, or agent-based automation tools.
- Programming or scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with AWS and CI/CD, including CodePipeline, CodeBuild, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test and defect management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while taking responsibility for operational effectiveness and risk.
