Base Salary
$154k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for large-scale ranking, recommendation, classification, or generative AI systems.
- Develop and maintain ML pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and production serving.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and infrastructure engineers to translate ML research into production systems.
- Define metrics, dashboards, and alerting to monitor model health and detect regressions.
- Lead technical design of ML systems and evaluate trade-offs involving quality, latency, throughput, and infrastructure cost.
- Design and analyze experiments to validate model improvements and inform product decisions.
- Profile and optimize model training and inference performance and resolve architectural bottlenecks.
- Incorporate privacy, security, and responsible AI principles into ML system design and workflows.
- Mentor engineers, improve coding standards, and drive tooling and automation adoption.
- Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and experimental outcomes to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning systems, model development, or ML infrastructure.
- Experience developing and deploying machine learning models at scale, including feature engineering, training, evaluation, and production serving.
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments for ML model improvements and data-informed product decisions.
- Production-quality programming experience in Python, C++, or a comparable language, with experience building maintainable and well-tested ML systems.
- Experience owning end-to-end ML project delivery, including technical design, cross-functional collaboration, and operational readiness.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, distributed training, and model serving infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with recommendation systems, natural language processing, computer vision, or generative AI.
- Preferred experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including bias evaluation, risk assessment, and model quality reviews.
- Preferred experience using AI-assisted development tools, prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration, and emerging AI technologies.

- Annual base salary of $154,003/year to $217,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
