Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications that meet business requirements.
- Work on an Agile team using two-week Sprints and three-month increment deliveries.
- Integrate applications with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Use Git-based version-control workflows and participate in peer reviews and feature iterations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while supporting two programs with a shared baseline.
Requirements
- Level 1 requires a science bachelor’s degree with 0+ years of software development experience, or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Level 2 requires a science bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of software development experience, a master’s degree with 0+ years, or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required at the time of application.
- Thorough understanding of the Java programming language is required.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, Git workflows, SQL and/or NoSQL databases, and the Software Development Lifecycle is required.
- Preferred qualifications include CompTIA Security+ certification, Linux experience, cross-functional collaboration, peer review, and feature iteration experience.
- SkillBridge participants must meet active-duty service, separation timing, honorable discharge, TAPS/TGPS, ethics briefing, and commander authorization requirements.

- SkillBridge participation provides up to 180 days of on-the-job training during the final six months of military service, with a 40-hour-per-week schedule and potential full-time conversion.
- The role is performed on site in Aurora, Colorado, with no relocation assistance and approximately 10% travel.
- SkillBridge participants continue receiving military compensation and benefits and are not compensated by Northrop Grumman.
