Responsibilities
- Define project architectures and product project definitions for mainstream automotive software products.
- Support customer project teams with software architecture solutions and understand regional and OEM expectations.
- Participate in design decisions and serve as a key stakeholder in the change control board.
- Mentor architects and development teams on software architecture best practices and processes.
- Evaluate risks, estimate changes, develop alternatives, and collaborate with the development community.
- Maintain architecture artifacts, track compliance topics, and represent ASPICE evaluations.
- Develop software blueprints from functional and non-functional requirements and drive architectural improvements.
- Manage technical complexity, enforce best practices, and work with multisite interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience and hands-on experience developing automotive software architectures.
- Knowledge of software architecture standards, design patterns, architectural styles, and technical infrastructure.
- Strong C and C++ knowledge, with experience using requirements management, traceability, and software architecture tools such as DOORS.
- Experience with software development life cycle practices, microcontrollers, resource management, and performance optimization for multicore and distributed systems.
- In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- Required knowledge of AUTOSAR, automotive software quality processes, and ASPICE representation.
- Knowledge of vehicle architectures, automotive security and safety standards, connected systems, MISRA, and code quality and compliance practices.
- Ability to manage stakeholders, lead architect teams, communicate effectively in English, and handle product variances and software reusability.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ASPICE is preferred; ISAQB certification and openness toward people topics are advantageous.
