Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, debug, and troubleshoot software applications and system issues.
- Develop and maintain software using Mainframe Assembler and support assigned modules and work items.
- Analyze requirements and implement low-complexity technical solutions under senior developer guidance.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, backlog and sprint activities, QA support, and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, communicate progress, and raise blockers early.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–6 years of coding experience in Mainframe Assembler or TPF.
- Experience with analysis, development, testing, validation, debugging, and collaborative software development.
- Familiarity with DB2 and file concepts and exposure to mainframe assembler development concepts.
- Java and Python knowledge are advantageous; JCL and COBOL knowledge are additional advantages.
- Ability to follow coding standards, development guidelines, and security or quality expectations.
- Willingness to learn ACP/CCS business and system knowledge and strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
