Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of embedded software solutions for automotive safety and connectivity products.
- Develop firmware, device drivers, hardware abstraction layers, real-time embedded systems, and low-level hardware interfaces.
- Design robust, scalable, maintainable embedded software architectures and analyze performance, memory usage, power consumption, and reliability.
- Lead technical investigations and drive solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and contribute to product architecture and technical direction.
- Collaborate across software, hardware, validation, and systems engineering teams.
- Develop software related to wireless communication stacks, sensor networks, connected gateways, radio transceivers, and functional safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, embedded systems engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex embedded software products from concept to production.
- Expert-level C programming skills and strong knowledge of embedded software design principles.
- Experience developing production-quality firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers and SoCs.
- Strong understanding of real-time embedded systems, interrupt-driven architectures, and low-level hardware interfaces.
- Experience developing and debugging device drivers and hardware abstraction layers in resource-constrained environments.
- Ability to design embedded software architectures and understand software design patterns, modular design, and system integration.
- Proficiency with compilers, debuggers, IDEs, and embedded development toolchains.
- Experience with Git, collaborative software development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software quality processes.
- Knowledge of Python or Bash for automation, testing, and tooling.
- Experience leading technical projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and performing code reviews.
- Desirable experience with automotive software, ISO 26262 functional safety, wireless communications, RF systems, networking protocols, secure boot, cryptography, or embedded security.
