Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, stability, performance, and operational readiness of 40+ mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Lead production incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventative remediation.
- Support application recovery, failover, disaster recovery, business continuity, critical processing schedules, and service-level commitments.
- Drive automation, resiliency, observability, operational excellence, and reduction of recurring operational issues.
- Partner with application development, infrastructure, cloud, database, network, security, and product teams across globally distributed locations.
- Support audit, risk, compliance, and operational control requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- 6–8 years of experience supporting enterprise applications in complex production environments.
- Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles, including reliability, observability, automation, and incident prevention.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale distributed applications in production and working with cloud technologies and modern infrastructure platforms.
- Experience with messaging, middleware, and integration technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka, or IIB.
- Exposure to OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker container platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture, mainframes, JCL, batch processing, job monitoring, Python or other scripting languages, financial services, capital markets, securities processing, AI-driven automation, and enterprise integration platforms.
