Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and scripts for functional, regression, integration, system, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and release candidates across applicable applications and platforms.
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure test coverage and quality validation.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while supporting root cause analysis with developers.
- Write test plans, test cases, test reports, test data, and requirements-to-coverage traceability documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and other stakeholders to improve test strategies, environments, QA processes, automation frameworks, and release quality.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness discussions.
- Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance on test execution, defect documentation, and quality practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing of web applications.
- Hands-on experience with frontend UI validation and backend API and database testing.
- Strong expertise with test automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
- Working knowledge of Core Java and experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Proficiency with Postman for API testing.
- Ability to write and execute basic to intermediate SQL queries for backend validation.
- Strong understanding of the software testing life cycle and defect tracking processes.
- Experience with JIRA or other test management platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
