Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, deliver, and support cloud-native security products from concept through production deployment.
- Lead technical design discussions and make architecture trade-offs for scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, design, support, and documentation teams.
- Write high-quality software and create comprehensive unit and functional tests while participating in rigorous code reviews.
- Work effectively with remote teams to maintain product quality, agility, and delivery velocity.
- Mentor, groom, and educate junior engineers as a player-coach and technical standard-setter.
- Debug and remediate issues in complex codebases and systems while identifying future areas of work.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship.
- Deep expertise in Java, including object-oriented design, multithreading, and high-performance services.
- Experience designing, building, and operating complex large-scale distributed systems in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of architectural patterns for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Ability to independently solve problems, debug unfamiliar systems, and make informed technical trade-offs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and prioritization skills.
- Powerful security background and a proven record of championing security best practices.
- Preferred experience with anomaly detection systems or risk systems; cloud security, identity, or authentication protocols; and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
