Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded control software for automotive PowerDrive system products.
- Develop application control software using model-based and traditional software development methods.
- Design and verify software architecture and create software design and requirements documents.
- Perform MIL/SIL unit testing, software integration, and HIL testing.
- Estimate software work and support application and calibration activities from a control-software perspective.
- Follow the BorgWarner Software Development Process and work with the ECU development stakeholder team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of project experience in ECU software development in the automotive industry is required.
- Experience with embedded C, MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, auto-coding, model-based development, CAN stacks, and software unit testing is required.
- Preferred experience includes TargetLink, UDS, network management, bootloaders, AUTOSAR software development and configuration, vehicle dynamics control, BLDC/PMSM control, and vehicle dynamics simulation.
- Familiarity with 16-bit or 32-bit Infineon and NXP microcontrollers is preferred.
- Experience with Vector CAN tools, including CANalyzer, CANape, and CANoe, is preferred.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages and C# or C++ development is preferred.
- Good written and verbal English skills are required; good driving skills are preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMI or Automotive SPICE is preferred.
