Responsibilities

  • Build and improve computer vision models for detection, segmentation, and OCR on construction drawings.
  • Contribute to data preparation, labeling workflows, model training runs, and evaluation pipelines.
  • Run experiments, measure results, and communicate findings.
  • Analyze customer data to identify model failure modes and propose fixes.
  • Collaborate with full-stack and product engineers to move models into production.
  • Read relevant research and test ideas for improving models.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid foundation in deep learning and computer vision through coursework, research, or projects.
  • Hands-on experience training models in PyTorch or a similar framework.
  • Strong Python skills.
  • Interest in working with messy real-world data, including scanned, handwritten, and imperfect data.
  • High ownership, curiosity, and strong follow-through.
  • Experience with document AI, OCR, or vision-language models is a bonus.
