Responsibilities
- Take charge of the team’s overall quality strategy and promote quality earlier in the development process.
- Design and write automated tests, contribute to automation frameworks, and participate in exploratory testing.
- Contribute to product code, code reviews, reliability engineering strategies, and other quality-improvement activities.
- Identify defects, design issues, risks, and gaps in analysis and test coverage throughout software development.
- Coach teammates on quality-related activities and foster a mature quality culture.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, designers, product managers, and development managers to create testable features and identify test tasks during design.
- Communicate quality concerns clearly and advocate for users.
- Contribute to testing communities of practice, learning activities, conferences, workshops, and shared testing approaches.
Requirements
- New graduate candidate with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- Coding skills in Swift, Objective-C, C#, or Java and/or scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
- Ability to read production code and contribute to test automation.
- Ability to find software defects and design issues across all phases of development.
- High standards for software quality, performance, and security.
- Ability to design effective automation tests and contribute to automation frameworks.
- Strong critical thinking for identifying risks and gaps in analysis and test coverage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and learn quickly.
- Acumen with artificial intelligence tools.
