Base Salary
$176k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of the core services architecture.
- Define the long-term technical strategy and architectural vision for cloud services.
- Spearhead critical architectural decisions and perform deep-dive code reviews.
- Design and manage globally distributed, multi-region cloud deployments.
- Leverage automation and orchestration tools to reduce manual overhead.
- Lead initiatives to optimize infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Establish and enforce software engineering and DevOps standards.
- Model best practices in incident prevention and response.
- Embed security best practices into the infrastructure layer.
- Act as a bridge between hardware, product, and engineering teams.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on technical approaches.
- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in distributed systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Expert-level command of Python or Go (Golang).
- Deep experience with relational, document, or time-series databases.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the AWS ecosystem.
- Advanced mastery of Terraform or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
- Strong foundation in Networking, Security, Distributed Compute, and Observability.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments with a proactive mentality.
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex requirements.
