Responsibilities
- Improve services across their full lifecycle, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide system design consulting, develop software platforms and frameworks, perform capacity planning, and conduct launch reviews.
- Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Scale systems through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and engineering velocity.
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Three years of experience leading projects.
- Three years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Preferred experience in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking.
- Preferred expertise in large-scale distributed systems, debugging, code optimization, and automation.
- Ability to apply AI tooling and workflows responsibly to engineering practices, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Benefits
- Germany base salary of €156000–€159000 EUR, a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
