Base Salary
$192k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate ML and LLM approaches for CustomerLake personalization use cases and improve model and algorithm quality.
- Inspect production model traces and behavior to tune and improve system performance.
- Build the platform and evaluation framework for optimizing personalization against business outcomes such as purchases, retention, and product usage.
- Identify and pursue novel methods and technical directions for personalization.
- Partner with product management, engineering, and design to turn ambiguous customer problems into scalable, trustworthy solutions.
- Establish the technical foundation and best practices for ML and AI personalization as the organization grows.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience across shipping and improving ML/AI products.
- Hands-on experience building and evaluating ML models and/or LLM systems for real product or business use cases.
- Experience with personalization based on customer behavior or transactions, including recommendations, targeting, churn, or lifetime-value modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, with experience in model evaluation and production AI-quality monitoring.
- Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI, including retrieval-augmented generation, prompt design, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into MVPs and iterate using data and user feedback.
- High ownership and ability to drive projects from concept through launch and adoption in a 0-to-1 environment.
- Experience in martech or analytical go-to-market use cases is preferred.
- An academic or research background is preferred.
