Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end system features from user experience through backend code using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, persistence components, and integrations with backend and frontend technologies.
- Apply approved AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and unit/integration testing, while validating generated code before merge.
- Integrate LLM APIs into Java and Spring Boot services with structured outputs, retrieval-augmented generation, authentication, timeouts, retries, and observability.
- Evaluate AI response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Act as a subject matter expert, make team decisions, and provide solutions across multiple teams.
- Coordinate development activities, support timely project milestone delivery, and facilitate cross-functional communication.
- Mentor junior team members and troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Spring Boot and Java programming.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot is required.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
- Hands-on experience using approved coding assistants, including context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Ability to integrate LLM APIs and retrieval or vector-store integrations using project-approved frameworks such as Spring AI or LangChain4j.
- Experience with or knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Boot Test.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies and their integration with backend services.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
