Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship scalable, available, maintainable solutions for Git repository storage and serving services.
- Lead technical discussions, design documentation, experiments, prototypes, and feature delivery planning.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership through code reviews and implementation guidance.
- Partner with engineering and product stakeholders to define requirements, dependencies, milestones, estimates, and risks.
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot live-site issues, execute mitigations and safe deployments, and write actionable postmortems.
- Improve developer workflows through tooling, automation, repeatable quality checks, and incident learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
- Preferred understanding of production monitoring and observability.
- Preferred experience with large-scale system architecture, cloud environments, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Preferred experience collaborating with product management, design, and engineering teams on cross-functional projects.
