Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop and review maintainable, reliable, testable software for secure AI platform features.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, compliant product and service architectures.
- Create test strategies, automate testing, and use debugging, logs, telemetry, and source-code analysis to verify quality.
- Build deployment automation, support safe releases, feature flighting, rollback planning, and production-like validation.
- Operate live-site services through rotational on-call support, incident response, monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.
- Apply security-as-code, threat modeling, security monitoring, privacy protections, compliance processes, and AI safety practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, security and privacy specialists, architects, partner teams, and data science stakeholders to deliver customer-focused features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Must hold an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to SCI based on an SSBI with Polygraph.
- Must meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements before and after hire.
- Must verify U.S. citizenship because of citizenship-based legal restrictions supporting government customers.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms with Azure preferred, CI/CD and automation practices, and debugging across cloud services and platform components.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $102,100-$202,200 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of $133,800-$219,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
