Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cryptographically secure flows for boot, certification, attestation, and manufacturing.
- Drive the design and architecture of the DPU Secure Enclave for boot and runtime services.
- Develop software that securely boots and attests the DPU and provides high-performance runtime services.
- Participate in transitioning from classical cryptography to post-quantum cryptography algorithms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware engineers, system architects, and Microsoft teams to integrate the DPU into Azure cloud scenarios.
- Identify and promote design improvements that enhance technical efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4+ years of embedded software development and system design experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years developing symmetric, asymmetric, hashing, and public-key cryptography libraries.
- Preferred: 4+ years working with cryptographic tools such as OpenSSL, Mbed TLS, or SymCrypt.
- Preferred: recent knowledge of post-quantum cryptography techniques.
- Preferred: experience developing Boot ROM code.
- Preferred: 3+ years developing Secure Enclave software.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with software/hardware interfaces, simulations, and systems bring-up.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $142,800-$274,800 per year; a separate range applies in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
