Responsibilities
- Add features to customer- and campsite-focused sites using Python.
- Scope and implement backend features with team members and the Product Owner.
- Suggest and implement backend architecture changes while decomposing the monolith.
- Contribute to improving development practices and modern backend delivery.
- Collaborate effectively within an Agile development team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Requirements
- At least 5–7 years of backend development experience, ideally in a scaling business.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Python and strong understanding of software architecture and microservices.
- Understanding of adaptive and responsive websites and event-driven architecture.
- Structured problem-solving, clear technical communication, teamwork, self-motivation, and effective prioritization.
- Preferred: OTA sector knowledge; continuous delivery or feature-flag experience; SOLID principles; event sourcing, branch-by-abstraction, or BDD knowledge; internal and third-party API experience; and a related degree.
