Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture for AWS Quick customization layers, including connectors, agent orchestration, knowledge ingestion, service boundaries, and infrastructure as code.
- Define MCP strategies, tool contracts, governance, authentication, authorization, safety boundaries, and agent-facing APIs.
- Own the technical direction and reliability hardening of the internal AI Artifact Hub.
- Establish evaluation, regression testing, acceptance criteria, HITL feedback, and reusable standards for AI capabilities, agents, and skills.
- Design enterprise knowledge and retrieval systems, including ingestion, metadata, knowledge graphs, retrieval quality, context management, and RAG configuration.
- Set production reliability, observability, monitoring, graceful degradation, recovery, idempotency, and incident-response patterns for AI-enabled integrations.
- Lead architecture and design reviews, mentor engineers through complex Python implementation and debugging, and contribute targeted production code.
- Represent the platform team with AWS, engineering, product, security, architecture, and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Lead response to significant platform incidents and drive follow-up engineering work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 10 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 8 years, a Ph.D. with 5 years, or 22 years of related experience.
- 10+ years of experience across the software development life cycle, architecture, and platform delivery.
- Strong experience designing and delivering cloud-native platforms on AWS, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, observability, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience designing, building, or operating AI/ML-powered systems, including patterns such as RAG, knowledge retrieval, or agent-based architectures.
- Working proficiency in Python and the ability to design, review, debug, and contribute to Python-based connectors, pipelines, and tooling.
- Experience defining software evaluation and quality approaches such as regression testing, measurable acceptance criteria, and HITL review.
- Experience with enterprise integrations across SaaS, data platforms, and operational systems, including API design, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSO, data quality, and reliability.
- Demonstrated ownership of architecture used by multiple engineering teams and ability to influence across team boundaries without formal authority.
- Experience establishing engineering practices and team norms in a newly formed team.
- Preferred experience includes Amazon Bedrock, AWS managed AI/ML services, MCP, knowledge graphs, graph databases, Terraform, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, Snowflake, data loss prevention, PII redaction, zero-trust data pipelines, internal developer platforms, event-driven architectures, AWS Step Functions, Temporal, and AI evaluation or governance practices.

- Ability to work in the office three days per week and participate in an on-call rotation and production incident response.
- Successful candidates must clear a pre-employment drug test.
