Base Salary
$100k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Train and deploy machine learning models for search, ranking, recommendations, pricing, fraud detection, demand prediction, and other product features.
- Own ML projects across data sourcing, feature engineering, model training, deployment, monitoring, and product integration.
- Build real-time inference pipelines and batch workflows using cloud-native infrastructure.
- Use generative AI and large language models to accelerate development, improve internal tooling, and augment user experiences.
- Partner with product, design, and operations teams to deliver ML-powered features tied to business outcomes.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in software or ML engineering.
- Experience building, shipping, and scaling production ML models, including NLP, ranking, or classification systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with knowledge of software and data engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Airflow, dbt, and ML deployment tooling.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to reason about data and metrics and connect models to business outcomes.
- Preferred experience with recommender systems, reinforcement learning, graph-based models, marketplace dynamics, pricing systems, retrieval, embeddings, vector search, feature stores, or observability tools.
- Experience in luxury, hospitality, or marketplace products and comfort working in a startup environment are preferred.

- Typical base salary ranges are $100,000–$160,000 for junior level, $150,000–$200,000 for mid level, and $190,000–$250,000 for senior level; the stated New York pay range is $100,000–$250,000 USD.
