Responsibilities
- Define and drive cloud security principles, standards, and reference architectures.
- Advise engineering teams on securely building and operating products and services.
- Assess, design, and implement security processes and controls for security, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Research emerging threats and attack vectors.
- Partner with engineering teams to embed shift-left security throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Implement and manage cloud and Kubernetes security posture management tooling for containerized workloads.
- Collaborate with DevOps, CI/CD engineers, Cloud Architects, Trust & Security, Platform, and other engineering teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience with AWS and AWS security services in a secure production environment, including IAM, Config, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams to shift security left.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Experience with version control and CI tools such as GitLab and GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes admission controllers, and supply chain security.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, VPN, internet protocols, and computer network protocols.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Collaborative, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification or similar is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools and large language models such as Claude by Anthropic and AWS Bedrock is preferred.
