Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software applications using C++.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and solution designs.
  • Analyze complex business and technical challenges and deliver scalable, maintainable enterprise software.
  • Create technical specifications, architecture components, system documentation, and design materials.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality initiatives.
  • Debug and resolve application defects to improve reliability, stability, and performance.
  • Participate in software design discussions and architecture and technology decisions.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Support deployment, implementation, and maintenance activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise across development teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience developing commercial software applications using C++.
  • Experience with IST/Switch, payment switching or processing, and ISO 8583 messaging.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and optimizing complex enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, software architecture, and application scalability principles.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, system specifications, and solution designs.
  • Preferred experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.
  • Preferred knowledge of networking, operating systems, database technologies, middleware, and distributed systems.
  • Preferred experience with C++ performance tuning, multithreading, and concurrent programming.
  • Preferred experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science desired.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
