Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software applications using C++.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and solution designs.
- Analyze complex business and technical challenges and deliver scalable, maintainable enterprise software.
- Create technical specifications, architecture components, system documentation, and design materials.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality initiatives.
- Debug and resolve application defects to improve reliability, stability, and performance.
- Participate in software design discussions and architecture and technology decisions.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system testing.
- Support deployment, implementation, and maintenance activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise across development teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing commercial software applications using C++.
- Experience with IST/Switch, payment switching or processing, and ISO 8583 messaging.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and optimizing complex enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of design patterns, software architecture, and application scalability principles.
- Experience creating technical documentation, system specifications, and solution designs.
- Preferred experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.
- Preferred knowledge of networking, operating systems, database technologies, middleware, and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience with C++ performance tuning, multithreading, and concurrent programming.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.
- Bachelor of Computer Science desired.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
