Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot full-stack software across new and existing applications.
  • Translate functional requirements into working software in collaboration with Business Systems Analysts.
  • Design system-level solutions using object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
  • Work with APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, API gateways, databases, caching, and web application frameworks.
  • Create and maintain software design specifications and present designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, resolve technical or product problems, and incorporate recommendations.
  • Provide production support and ad-hoc support for departmental business areas, databases, applications, and tools.
  • Collaborate with team members and internal and external clients while working with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited two-year university.
  • At least 4 years of related software development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Python and Java 21 or later.
  • Experience with API and microservices development, event-driven architecture, object-oriented design and programming, and API gateways.
  • Experience with web application frameworks such as Angular or React, JavaScript, FastAPI or Flask, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience using Redis for caching and session storage, including data structures, TTL and eviction policies, and basic Pub/Sub messaging.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle 19C or later and SQL programming.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, Jenkins, Argo CD, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and verification.
  • Experience with Agile software development and JIRA/Confluence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with the pharmacy benefits management business model and pharmaceutical practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
