Responsibilities
- Build foundational infrastructure platforms supporting Databricks services across geographic regions and cloud providers.
- Develop cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions for operating backend services efficiently.
- Design and develop large-scale distributed systems and backend systems for a SaaS platform.
- Build tools and processes that improve developer productivity, including language tooling, static analysis, IDEs, remote development, release pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
- Contribute throughout project design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of production-level experience with Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience with a SaaS platform or Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
