Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve production-grade backend services for industrial IoT solutions using Go, MQTT, Kafka, and distributed-system patterns.
- Own backend capabilities from architecture and implementation through automated testing, deployment, observability, and production reliability.
- Build and improve event-driven data flows and integrations that process and expose industrial IoT data.
- Translate product and customer needs into pragmatic technical solutions while collaborating across engineering, product, and technical teams.
- Drive engineering quality through design, code reviews, test automation, secure development practices, and CI/CD.
- Investigate operational challenges and improve backend performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience developing production software in Go within complex, real-world environments.
- Experience designing distributed or IoT backend services, including MQTT.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to take solutions from design through deployment and production with strong problem-solving and ownership skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and technical teams.
- Kafka and Sparkplug B experience is advantageous.
- Experience with GitOps, TypeScript, React, or structured AI-assisted engineering practices is advantageous.
