Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on user stories, present results, and track defects through closure.
- Prepare, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and reusable test automation solutions.
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts.
- Review test cases and automation approaches with customers to ensure comprehensive coverage and incorporate feedback.
- Track test execution milestones and report issues and risks that may affect project timelines.
- Lead and mentor test engineers by providing guidance, training, and support.
- Construct end-to-end business scenarios based on business objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
- Identify and maintain environmental and test-data requirements.
- Provide mentorship on test coverage and test cases.
- Develop a detailed understanding of delivered products and ensure compliance with testing processes and documentation.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities and escalate risks appropriately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with API/XML testing, Selenium, and Java.
- Extensive experience testing components based on modern scripting languages.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience with JIRA, Micro Focus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with front-end and backend testing using Java and Selenium.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments and coordinating onsite/offshore teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle, particularly testing models, methodologies, and processes.
- Detailed understanding of smoke, black-box, non-black-box, and regression testing.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business clients and technical teams.
- Financial-domain experience preferred.
