Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Deliver, install, upgrade, patch, configure, secure, and maintain highly reliable Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Manage the lifecycle of containerized services supporting software development, testing, staging, production, and higher-classification environments.
- Tune Kubernetes performance, establish monitoring and alerting dashboards, and implement observability metrics.
- Manage north-south and east-west network traffic, resource capacity, scaling, and service reliability.
- Troubleshoot containerized services and produce root cause analyses and postmortems.
- Establish Service Level Objectives and other SRE-related metrics.
- Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Support 14 software product teams and thousands of users across multiple operational environments.
- Participate in Agile planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog execution, progress reporting, and performance tracking.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience as a Kubernetes Engineer designing and building distributed systems for mid-sized to large enterprises.
- At least 2 years of SRE experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, STEM, or information technology from an accredited institution.
- Current Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), or equivalent certification.
- Experience delivering container orchestration solutions and designing, building, and implementing cloud-native Kubernetes architectures.
- Experience maintaining, configuring, and monitoring containers using Infrastructure as Code in development, test, and production environments.
- Experience designing containerized solutions for relational and non-relational databases, data auditing, caching, and performance.
- Experience implementing observability solutions, monitoring key metrics, troubleshooting issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
- Experience deploying and managing microservices with container orchestration platforms.
- Experience automating system tasks and infrastructure with scripting, configuration management, service registry and discovery, infrastructure orchestration, and automated imaging tools.
- Experience with monitoring and trending systems, log aggregation systems, and related agents.
- Proficiency with one or more of Argo CD, cert-manager, Ingress, Keycloak, MinIO, MongoDB, Pinniped, Prometheus, Grafana, VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, Sealed Secrets, Tanzu Postgres and Operator, Vault, Velero/Restic, Harbor, Kustomize, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Helm.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Security+ certification if privileged access is required for the role.
