- Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to system design, architecture, technical design, and implementation of complex features and services.
- Break down complex work and deliver clean, efficient, testable software.
- Own end-to-end feature development and testing, including test plans and use cases.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams on build and delivery workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best-practice guidance.
- Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and technical roadmap discussions.
- Improve engineering excellence through automation, observability, and operational practices.
- Troubleshoot production systems, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Java software development experience for enterprise-grade, customer-facing applications.
- Strong proficiency in data structures and algorithms, software design principles, and design patterns.
- Deep expertise building microservices with advanced Java concepts and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git operations, and relational databases.
- Understanding of system design fundamentals and messaging systems such as Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or Prometheus.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Harness.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes webhooks, REST integrations with GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps, contract testing, performance testing, Bash scripting, and AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
