Responsibilities
- Mentor Quality Engineers and provide technical guidance, coaching, and leadership.
- Define and drive QE strategy, testing standards, best practices, quality gates, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, backend, API, and ETL testing.
- Architect CI/CD pipelines with test automation integration using Helios pipeline and GitHub Actions.
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for test data validation, data setup, and ETL testing.
- Develop automated data validation frameworks for large-scale data movement and transformation processes.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex defects and testing blockers and provide quality metrics to leadership.
- Test AI/ML and GenAI/LLM-powered features, including prompt and response validation, model output quality, bias, hallucination, and nondeterministic behavior testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps engineers, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Document and track defects using JIRA and Confluence and oversee automated test execution and analysis.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in QA/QE with progressive responsibility and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing quality engineering teams.
- Expert-level Python proficiency for test automation, ETL testing, and data validation scripting.
- Hands-on knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, data validation strategies, and preferably SSIS.
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, query optimization, and database testing.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable enterprise test automation architectures.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API testing, microservices testing, backend service validation, QE processes, testing life cycle, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Helios, UCD, or similar tools.
- Experience with qTest, JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience testing AI/ML-powered or GenAI/LLM-based applications.
- Preferred qualifications include banking or financial services experience, Snowflake testing and administration, JCL and mainframe testing, data warehousing and dimensional modeling, performance or load testing, AI/ML testing, relevant certifications, Docker, Kubernetes, and security testing or compliance knowledge.
