Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of complex cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Coordinate coding, testing, implementation, documentation, defect tracking, and issue resolution for application solutions.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and user stories.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites and execute automated test cases across varied environments.
- Document test results, raise defects, participate in defect triage and Scrum meetings, and validate business acceptance, user acceptance, and system integration.
- Use JIRA, Confluence, and qTest for test case management, defect management, and test reporting.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade Python applications for batch data processing, APIs, and web applications.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for automated build, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and business partners throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience with quality engineering processes, testing methodologies, testing life cycle, SDLC, and defect management for application testing, development, and support.
- Hands-on experience with qTest, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience with technical and automated testing in cloud, Unix/Linux, big data/Hadoop, and data warehouse environments.
- Strong problem-solving, design, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Hands-on programming experience with Python or Java.
- Excellent SQL script-writing skills and experience with ETL testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD automation, preferably GitHub Actions, and Git-based workflows.
- Experience working on Agile projects.
- A Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with SoapUI/ReadyAPI, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, QA certifications such as ISTQB or Agile Testing, GitHub Copilot, machine learning projects, and AWS application deployment, monitoring, and debugging.
