Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable, resilient, highly available distributed applications, tools, APIs, frameworks, services, and machine learning models.
- Optimize high-availability, low-latency data platforms.
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Conceptualize, code, and continuously integrate and deliver innovative prototypes.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts, operations teams, and peers on functional and non-functional solutions.
- Analyze large codebases, identify improvements, propose solutions, and deliver results with cross-functional buy-in.
- Design service interaction patterns and anticipate scalability and future functional requirements.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance, and pair programming.
- Improve team productivity and influence improvements in adjacent functional areas.
Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Java 8+, Spring Framework 5+, and Spring Boot 2+.
- Working knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs using Jersey or other frameworks.
- Experience with event processing using JMS, MQ, or Kafka.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Cloud-related knowledge.
- Experience with agile development methodologies, Test Driven Development, and CI/CD.
- Ability to innovate, contribute to product and customer-experience success, adapt to changing priorities, and thrive under pressure.
