Base Salary
$388k - $558k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate robust, scalable, highly available platform products including frontend widgets and backend services.
- Architect and develop full-stack systems ranging from GraphQL APIs and embeddable UI components to asynchronous backend services.
- Design and implement backend microservices, data structures, APIs, and high-scale distributed systems.
- Develop complex user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, React, and modern frontend architecture.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from ambiguous goals through launched and operable products, coordinating scope, tradeoffs, and dependencies.
- Own production operations by leading incident response and post-incident reviews and improving reliability, observability, and on-call practices.
- Mentor engineers, support career development, and build technical communities across the organization.
- Help develop eventing, communications, messaging, asynchronous processing, and workflow platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Proficiency architecting and developing highly leveraged platforms across the full software stack.
- Strong backend experience designing microservices, data structures, and APIs with Java, C#, or comparable object-oriented languages.
- Recent hands-on experience building complex, high-quality user interfaces with HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS, plus exposure to React and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with design, product, and engineering partners and driving delivery through ambiguity.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly through writing, design documents, reviews, and stakeholder alignment.
- Track record of operational ownership, including incident response, post-incident reviews, reliability, observability, and on-call improvements.
- Strong technical judgment, product mindset, problem definition, execution, mentoring, and influence skills.
- Experience with messaging buses, asynchronous data processing, workflow orchestration, or related infrastructure platforms is preferred.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts such as partitioning, idempotency, backpressure, and distributed tracing is preferred.
- Ability or interest in leveraging AI for rapid prototyping, decision-making, and team process improvement is preferred.
