Base Salary
$388k - $558k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate robust, scalable, highly available eventing and communications platform products.
- Develop frontend widgets, embeddable UI components, backend services, APIs, and real-time asynchronous systems.
- Architect microservices and transform business needs into extensible technical designs.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with design, product, engineering, and technical program management partners.
- Drive delivery from ambiguous goals through launched and operable products while managing scope, tradeoffs, and dependencies.
- Own production operations through incident response, post-incident reviews, reliability improvements, observability, and on-call enhancements.
- Mentor engineers, support career development, and help build technical communities.
- Advocate for high-quality code, engineering best practices, reusable patterns, and strong developer experience.
Requirements
- Proficiency architecting and developing highly leveraged platforms across the full software stack.
- Backend expertise designing microservices, data structures, and APIs with Java, C#, or comparable object-oriented languages.
- Recent hands-on experience building complex user interfaces with HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS, including exposure to React and modern frontend architecture.
- Experience with component design, state management, frontend performance optimization, and UI/UX quality.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, balancing tradeoffs, orchestrating dependencies, and driving delivery.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts through clear writing, design documents, reviews, and stakeholder alignment.
- Track record of operational ownership, incident response, post-incident reviews, reliability, observability, and on-call improvements.
- Ability to define crisp problems, exercise technical judgment, influence and mentor others, apply a product mindset, and own outcomes through production.
- Preferred experience with messaging buses, asynchronous data processing, workflow orchestration, partitioning, idempotency, backpressure, and distributed tracing.
- Experience proactively using AI to accelerate prototyping, decision-making, and team processes is a bonus.
