Responsibilities

  • Support and operate production live risk and PnL applications serving Rates trading desks.
  • Troubleshoot data, calculation, service, and infrastructure issues through root-cause analysis and durable fixes.
  • Design and deliver low-latency enhancements for risk and PnL functionality in partnership with traders and business stakeholders.
  • Lead critical Rates risk and PnL projects, technical design discussions, and coordination with partner teams.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, operational runbooks, resiliency, performance, data quality, and incident remediation.
  • Mentor engineers and promote validated, secure, and compliant use of AI-assisted software development tools.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, including leadership of complex technical initiatives.
  • Strong front-office trading support experience and direct engagement with traders.
  • Strong knowledge of Rates products, trading workflows, market data, risk, PnL, and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Advanced Python proficiency for production services and performance-sensitive applications.
  • Understanding of real-time and distributed systems, including concurrency, messaging or streaming patterns, caching, and failure modes.
  • Experience with large-enterprise software delivery, engineering standards, testing, code quality, security, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver under time pressure.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and compliant engineering adoption.
