Responsibilities
- Design and implement GenAI architecture, including LLM agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, prompt-engineering frameworks, and model fine-tuning workflows.
- Lead hands-on development of GenAI solutions from concept through production using Python, LangChain, embeddings, vector stores, and LLMs.
- Drive cross-team architectural alignment and adoption of AI for high-value enterprise use cases.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, support pair programming, and lead micro-teams or pods.
- Establish coding, testing, documentation, security, reliability, monitoring, observability, and error-handling practices.
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies, manage work through Jira, optimize deployments through CI/CD, and remove execution blockers.
- Identify, prototype, and deliver AI-driven product features and internal workflow improvements.
- Partner with governance, legal, and security teams to apply privacy, fairness, safety, security, and responsible AI standards.
- Evaluate emerging LLMs, vector database technologies, open-source frameworks, and cloud AI capabilities and communicate innovations to engineering and leadership.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- At least 7 years of software development experience, including substantial hands-on AI/ML or GenAI work and preferably 2–3 years building LLM applications.
- Prior experience as a technical lead or senior engineer, with demonstrated ability to guide teams through complex and ambiguous projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience; a Master’s or PhD in AI/ML is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, embeddings, RAG, LLM agents, agent workflows, and NLP services.
- Advanced Python proficiency and familiarity with Java or other object-oriented languages.
- Experience with LangChain, CrewAI, or OpenAI-compatible APIs and production-quality data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and deploying AI solutions at scale.
- Required experience with vector databases or similar technologies for embedding storage and semantic search.
- Knowledge of containerization and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Scrum teams, Jira, Jenkins or comparable CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, stakeholder-influence, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
