Responsibilities
- Own the quality of the team's code and architecture.
- Design solution architectures and explain implementation details at a low level.
- Make technical decisions that influence product direction and business results.
- Coordinate a team of five engineers in Brazil and Argentina while writing code hands-on.
- Foster a high-ownership culture in which the team decides what to build and how to build it.
- Align application roadmaps with Product and Business teams.
- Negotiate priorities, backlog, and scope with Product and Business.
- Take Purchasing, Sales, and Car Journey initiatives from roadmap to production.
- Keep AI as a core component of the design.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Professional experience with Java or Go.
- Strong backend experience with microservices and APIs.
- Experience designing solution architectures.
- Experience coordinating technology teams.
- Strong negotiation skills, including negotiating backlog with Product.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with React Native is a plus.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Experience at early-stage or growth-stage startups is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development and agent-based products is a plus.
