Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical Go backend features and services for the Workato platform.
- Build high-performance gateways and routing components.
- Build server-side infrastructure for logging and monitoring.
- Design and implement AI assistant features, including chatbot dispatching and synchronous/asynchronous AI execution.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and SRE teams to meet high availability and scalability requirements.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle and write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Evaluate system improvements, investigate alternatives and technologies, and present proposals for architectural review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- At least 8 years of industry experience, including at least 4 years of backend Go experience.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, highly available systems.
- Strong understanding of databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, and monitoring.
- At least basic knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and configuration.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, open-source contributions, Docker, Redis-based caching, public cloud infrastructure, third-party APIs at scale, or related DevOps, ML, DBA, and enterprise application fields is preferred.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Spoken English sufficient for technical interviews and collaboration with colleagues.
