Base Salary
$140k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and optimize global, multi-region database architectures across AWS and Azure.
- Architect and manage relational, NoSQL, and document databases including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Lead hands-on database migrations across cloud platforms and legacy systems.
- Define and implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques for large datasets.
- Tune databases for high availability, low latency, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
- Deep hands-on expertise with SQL and proficiency in Python for automation.
- Extensive experience designing and operating databases on AWS and Azure.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts including replication and consistency.
- Proven experience designing global, multi-region database systems with compliance considerations.
