Base Salary
$70k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance server-side frameworks and modules for a web-based Learning Management System.
- Own and deliver backend software solutions using Java SE, Java Servlets, JSP, XML, and JSON.
- Maintain and extend LMS modules running in servlet containers such as Apache Tomcat.
- Implement parser logic using JavaScript and apply HTML5 concepts in LMS workflows.
- Use ANT and Gradle for compiling, packaging, and deploying software.
- Work across RHEL Linux and Windows environments, including Bash and Windows shell scripting.
- Collaborate in an agile team environment supporting a large-scale program.
- Occasionally support hardware system configuration and build-out.
- Potentially contribute to Tactical Signature Guidance systems, sonar tactical decision aids, and related simulation technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field providing strong software development skills.
- Around five years of hands-on experience in relevant software development, signal processing, real-time data analysis, visualization or simulation systems, parallel processing, microservices, or Java-based server frameworks and web application backends.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Willingness to earn an IAT Level I or higher certification after hire.
- Preferred familiarity with parser development or extending JSP libraries for dynamic content.
- Preferred experience integrating Java backend services with web front-end frameworks.
