Base Salary
$146k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform software requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis and resolution.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based, data-driven, event-driven, and rules-engine-orchestrated analytics.
- Build distributed software and services using Java, AWS cloud services, containers, and large-scale data technologies.
- Integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products and develop technical documentation supporting software development projects.
- Support cloud security, compliance, observability, monitoring, and software testing activities.
Requirements
- At least eight years of software development or engineering experience, including requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
- At least six years of experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, or C++.
- At least five years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- At least three years of software integration and testing experience, including test plans and test scripts.
- Experience with distributed NoSQL products, MapReduce, Hadoop, HDFS, serialization formats such as JSON or BSON, object-oriented system design, cloud deployment, and analytics development.
- Experience with at least four of the stated desired characteristics, such as large-scale cloud analytics, AI techniques, multilingual or multimedia analytics, ontologies, linguistics, social network analytics, or heterogeneous schema environments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Must possess or obtain before starting one of the listed certifications: AWS Certified Developer-Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning-Associate, AWS Certified Machine Learning-Specialty, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer.
- Experience with AWS architecture and SDKs, Terraform or CloudFormation, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Java distributed systems, Linux scripting, Kubernetes, and security and compliance practices is desired.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience documenting software projects are required.
