Responsibilities

  • Develop the orchestration platform managing the lifecycle of GCP-hosted production environments for Cortex products.
  • Develop Kubernetes operators and cloud-native applications for infrastructure management and deployment.
  • Improve software architecture, scalability, service reliability, cost, and performance in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and technical and architectural decisions.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation supporting applications and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Infrastructure Engineer, or similar, with strong programming experience in Go, Python, or other relevant languages.
  • Proficiency with cloud technologies, preferably GCP.
  • Understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools such as Terraform, FluxCD, and ConfigConnector.
  • Experience improving product stability through code reviews, testing, rollouts, monitoring, and proactive changes.
  • High proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and other virtualized or containerized environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, learn new technologies, prioritize work, and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers and stakeholders, along with strong communication skills.
  • Preferred experience developing Kubernetes operators and working with MySQL or ScyllaDB.
