Responsibilities
- Validate OTA software upgrades, downgrades, ECU flashing, wire flashing, USB updates, and fleet updates in vehicles.
- Perform stress, functional, feature, and core hotfix testing for various vehicle modules.
- Create test strategies and plans, execute test cycles using Jira, and automate testing with Python, C#, ECU Test, and related tools.
- Validate OTA updates for 3G/4G TCUs, navigation systems, HMI modules, and other automotive components.
- Capture MLT logs, analyze CANoe/CANalyzer and diagnostic logs, identify root causes, and recover partially bricked modules in vehicles.
- Perform HIL and in-vehicle automation testing using DSPACE and Vector tools.
- Manage issues, defects, and versions while coordinating with suppliers, product owners, feature owners, cloud teams, mobile app teams, TCU teams, BCM teams, and stakeholders.
- Support DevOps in developing and validating Python scripts for CI/CD.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with OTA software upgrades and downgrades, creating and deploying software updates over the air, and vehicle flashing processes.
- Experience validating OTA updates for 3G/4G TCUs, navigation systems, and HMI modules.
- Experience with Python, C#, ECU Test, HIL validation platforms such as DSPACE, and in-vehicle automation testing.
- Experience with Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, Jira, GitHub, and SVN.
- Knowledge of UDS, diagnostic communication over CAN, DoIP, CAN, LIN, CAN flashing using DET, and CAPL scripting.
- Ability to analyze logs, recover partially bricked vehicle modules, collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders, and understand business and feature requirements.
