Responsibilities
- Validate OTA software upgrades, downgrades, hotfixes, and feature updates across vehicle modules.
- Create and execute test strategies, plans, and test cycles using Jira.
- Perform ECU flashing and software updates through OTA, wire, and USB methods in vehicles and fleet environments.
- Conduct stress, functional, feature, and core hotfix testing within targeted time frames.
- Perform HIL and in-vehicle automation testing using DSPACE, Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and related tools.
- Capture and analyze MLT, CANoe, and CANalyzer logs to identify OTA issues and recover partially bricked in-vehicle modules.
- Develop test automation and support DevOps CI/CD scripting using Python, C#, ECU Test, and CAPL.
- Manage issues, defects, versions, and review meetings with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Coordinate with product owners and feature owners to understand business requirements and feature functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Good experience with OTA software upgrades and downgrades, software update creation and deployment, and in-vehicle ECU flashing.
- Experience validating OTA updates for 3G/4G TCUs, navigation, and HMI modules.
- Experience with Python, C#, ECU Test, HIL validation platforms, DSPACE, Vector CANoe, and CANalyzer.
- Knowledge of UDS, diagnostic over CAN, DoIP, CAN, and LIN protocols.
- Knowledge of CAN flashing with DET and log analysis using CANoe or CANalyzer, including recovery of partially bricked modules.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, and SVN for issue, defect, and version management.
- Knowledge of ECU Test and CAPL scripting is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
