Base Salary

$180k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data systems.
  • Scale and extend the core high-performance graph database to support increasingly large and complex quantum-computing systems.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and research teams.
  • Test and maintain database software.
  • Champion and exemplify strong software-development practices.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with Python or C++ in a systems-software context.
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed storage systems, with an emphasis on graph databases.
  • Proven track record of developing and shipping reliable, performant software in high-scale or mission-critical environments.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with high-performance computing and data design is valued.
  • Experience with computer architecture is valued.
  • Experience with high-performance networking is valued.
  • Experience with highly scalable distributed systems in reliability- and uptime-critical environments is valued.
  • A PhD in a related technical discipline is a plus but not required.
