Base Salary
$150k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop user signals, features, and representations for large-scale advertising and recommendation models.
- Explore and implement machine learning approaches for sparse, noisy, and heterogeneous user signals.
- Develop ranking, retrieval, prediction, optimization, representation learning, feature interaction, and multi-task learning systems.
- Scale model training and inference while improving data loading, memory utilization, distributed execution, latency, throughput, and hardware utilization.
- Build tools and frameworks for feature evaluation, model training, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and debugging.
- Design and analyze offline and online experiments and bring successful ML approaches from experimentation into production.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams on production machine learning systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning systems in production environments.
- Experience with machine learning or deep learning for recommendation, ranking, retrieval, prediction, advertising, representation learning, or related applications.
- Experience developing and training machine learning models using large-scale datasets.
- Strong understanding of model architectures, optimization, representation learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Strong programming and software engineering skills for building reliable production systems.
- Experience with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience diagnosing data, feature, model, training, or serving-performance problems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with user signals, learned representations, large-scale recommendation or advertising systems, distributed model training, ML infrastructure, GPU or accelerator optimization, and online or offline model evaluation.
