Base Salary

$116k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build native C++ or Rust services running on vehicle compute across Linux, Android, and QNX.
  • Develop telemetry capabilities including signal collection, vehicle-side metrics, diagnostics, and fleet-reporting configuration tools.
  • Improve high-throughput and reliable vehicle data uploads over Wi-Fi and cellular, including ADAS and camera data retrieval.
  • Deploy and optimize speech recognition, synthesis, wake-word, and other ML models on vehicle NPUs against latency and accuracy targets.
  • Instrument, debug, benchmark, and soak-test software on bench hardware and real vehicles to identify field issues and prevent performance regressions.
  • Write design documents, review code, and work on interconnected vehicle systems.

Requirements

  • Require 2–4 years of software engineering experience, or a BS/MS in a related engineering or computer science field with equivalent demonstrated building experience.
  • Demonstrate experience building complex software through production work, internships, open source, hackathons, competitions, university teams, or similar projects.
  • Have strong Linux and systems fundamentals covering processes, threading, concurrency, memory, inter-process communication, and filesystems.
  • Be able to debug running systems with tools such as gdb, perf, and strace.
  • Be proficient in C++ or Rust and capable of methodical debugging on large interconnected systems.
  • Communicate clearly through design documents, tickets, and code reviews.
  • Preferred qualifications include ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, TFLite, llama.cpp, ExecuTorch, or silicon vendor SDK experience; model quantization and constrained-hardware deployment; audio or speech systems; Android/AOSP internals; embedded, automotive, robotics, or real-time systems; networking and large-scale data transfer; gRPC; observability tooling; and open-source or ML infrastructure contributions.
