Base Salary
$116k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on software integration and validation on prototype vehicles, lab cars, and other system assets through production launch.
- Execute system-level integration test plans and develop scripts and tools to automate testing and data analysis.
- Triage, debug, and conduct root-cause analysis for integration issues spanning multiple ECUs and software domains.
- Implement and validate enabling features such as OTA updates and vehicle sleep functions.
- Analyze dependencies and prioritize foundational low-level work versus high-level feature development based on program needs.
- Investigate unfamiliar ECU domains and software stacks to resolve integration blockers and ensure system stability.
- Report component-level issues and extrapolate potential system-level risks for engineering leadership.
- Collaborate with architecture, platform, and application developers to define and resolve software dependencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in automotive, complex subsystems, or similar consumer electronics devices.
- Strong understanding of dependencies between electrical and mechanical systems and working knowledge of automotive electrical systems and CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocols.
- Fluency debugging communications issues involving Ethernet and CAN with industry-standard tools.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment software development models.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for taking software from development through verified product delivery.
