Base Salary
$153k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design extensible system architectures balancing performance, security, and maintainability.
- Own full lifecycle delivery of complex features from planning to implementation.
- Ensure high availability and observability of services, improving alerting and incident response.
- Set and uphold strong engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to align engineering with business needs.
- Lead technical design reviews and system decomposition efforts.
- Identify risks in operational resilience and drive improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 8–12 years of software engineering experience with expertise in backend systems.
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable systems in production.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical feedback.
- Strong systems thinking with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs.
- Experience designing for observability and operational excellence.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity across stakeholders.
