Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions supporting business functions, processes, applications, and customer migrations.
  • Build automation, tools, standards, scripts, and infrastructure updates or upgrades across multiple environments.
  • Implement and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing, deployment, and rollback automation.
  • Monitor alerts, perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures for production incidents.
  • Plan deployments, manage upgrades, and improve reliability, consistency, recovery, and velocity across customer instances.
  • Develop and document business, technical, and functional requirements and evaluate alternative infrastructure solutions.
  • Guide a team of administrators through project completion and direct the work of others.
  • Provide leadership analytics related to costs, capacity, and administration options.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in the field or a related area.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in the area of specialty, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced AWS infrastructure administration experience, including VPC, EC2, IAM, EBS, Security Groups, Auto Scaling, and RDS.
  • Experience establishing federated identity solutions between on-premises environments and commercial clouds.
  • Demonstrated experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms, plus branching, testing, and release-management practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog.
  • Ability to identify and document requirements, make or recommend quick decisions, solve complex problems, and prioritize substantial task lists.
  • Ability to guide administrators, lead effectively across organizations, and communicate strongly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly and work effectively with cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
